Dartmoor Lodge Hotel brought to market for £1.5m

Newton-based Dartmoor Lodge Hotel has been brought to the market for £1.5m.

The property houses 22 en-suite bedrooms and was originally constructed in the 1930s.

It is set in grounds of 1.58 acres, which includes car parking for 70 vehicles, trade and private gardens areas.

In addition, the venue also features owners accommodation with a one bedroom manager’s flat and separate five-bedroom flat also on the site.

According to the sellers, the hotel is a “very popular venue for food and drink and enjoys a strong function trade”.

Real estate agency, Savills, who are leading the sale said that property has come on the market after a “partnership split”, with the current owners looking to “come out of the trade having built up a successful and well maintained venue”.

Dartmoor Lodge is situated on the very edge of the Dartmoor National Park, served directly by the A38 expressway at Pear Tree Cross, Ashburton.
