MGallery’s UK Hotel Collection Joins The Hoteliers’ Charter

MGallery’s UK Hotels, Francis Hotel Bath, Queens Hotel Cheltenham and Castle Hotel Windsor are proud to announce that they have become an approved Charter Hotelier.

The Hoteliers’ Charter, since its creation in 2020, has sought ‘to raise the profile of the hospitality industry and promote hospitality as a profession of choice to parents, schools, colleges, universities and careers influencers’.

The Charter emphasises the importance of a number of initiatives that have been implemented by the MGallery UK hotels to support their teams. As members of Accor’s “Heartist” program, these values extend beyond the guest experience, from the recruitment process to the employees themselves. Castle Hotel Windsor has invested £200,000 on improving its ‘heart of house’ facilities, while also focusing on providing healthy and nutritious food for team meals. The importance of employee wellness is recognised in a number of ways including two-day mental health first aid training sessions and regular colleague appreciation initiatives. Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, all three hotels have pivoted their focus during to support their local communities, raising funds for Hospitality Action with a 24hour Gymathon, donating food parcels to NHS trusts and local charities and implementing key worker drive-throughs for the community.

Instead, The Hoteliers’ Charter supports promoting a workplace environment built on the foundations of respect, fairness, equality, diversity and opportunity; and placing colleagues’ wellness and career development at the heart of operations.

The Hoteliers’ Charter has already secured the support of industry bodies including: The Master Innholders, UKHospitality, St Julian’s Scholars and The Institute of Hospitality along with many hotel general managers. In accordance with the current government guidelines, Castle Hotel Windsor, Queens Hotel Cheltenham and Francis Hotel Bath will all reopen to the public on Monday 17 May with outdoor dining available in Cheltenham and Bath from 12 April.
