The Inn Collection Group, a pub company in the north of England, has acquired The Wateredge Inn on Lake Windermere for an undisclosed sum.
The Grade II listed property, houses 44 bedrooms and is located in The Lake District, a region and national park in Cumbria in North West England.
The property, which has a ‘four-star Visit England status’, is the seventh Lake District inn with rooms to be added to the portfolio of the Inn Collection Group.
Late last year, the group also acquired The Angel Inn at Bowness-on-Windermere, for an undisclosed amount.
Sean Donkin, managing director of The Inn Collection Group, said: “The Wateredge Inn is an exciting addition to our portfolio. We are delighted to have brought this extraordinary venue into our collection as our group continues to earn its stripes for its outstanding pubs with rooms in the very best locations across the north of England.
“Our priority is identifying and sourcing remarkable venues with their own USPs. With its lakeside setting and close proximity to Ambleside, The Wateredge Inn is matchless and will be a stunning new addition to our eat, drink, sleep and explore collection.”
