Edinburgh-headquartered hotel operator Apex Hotels has committed to helping fledgling businesses across the UK by offering up space within its properties completely free of charge.
Apex Hotels, which has 10 properties in five major UK cities, has launched the ‘Help in Hand’ initiative, offering local community groups and businesses in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee, Bath and London the use of a complimentary space.
The company said small businesses, charities and community groups looking to get back on their feet following a challenging year, and new business start-ups looking to get off the ground, can take advantage of unused meetings and venue spaces as well as free Wi-Fi within Apex Hotels’ properties – all of which are conveniently located at the heart of each city.
Clinton Campbell, commercial director at Apex Hotels, said: “It’s been a tough year for everyone, and the pandemic has had a massive impact on new and existing businesses, as well as local community groups – many of whom are still unable to operate having lost their original spaces, or cannot carry out their work safely in their existing premises within current social distancing guidelines.
“We’re in a position to help out and want to do what we can to help get struggling businesses and groups back on their feet – or do our bit to get fledgling operations off the ground. Our meetings and venue spaces at our 10 hotels across the UK are perfect in terms of suiting the needs of a variety of businesses and groups, big or small. And we also throw in free Wi-Fi to ensure any online operations can continue seamlessly.”
He added: “Whether you’ve started teaching online classes during lockdown and want to take the next step into face-to-face workshops, you run a mother and baby group that requires space to provide much-needed support to new parents, or perhaps just need some space to expand a lockdown ‘side hustle’ that has outgrown your home, our teams across the country can work with you to find a space that works best.”
