Accor hosts Scottish recruitment event

Accor is hosting recruitment events across Scotland as it seeks to fill 100 hospitality roles, following the reopening of the sector. 

The group’s hotel teams from more than a dozen Scottish hotels will attend the recruitment days on 20 and 21 July at Novotel Edinburgh Centre to share their “passion and expertise” and help locals understand the roles available and the opportunities within the sector.

Accor said that some positions will be hired on the spot, with the group seeking to employ staff for  kitchen, bar and front of house.

It added that roles are available in its portfolio of economy and luxury hotels including Fairmont St Andrews, ibis Styles Edinburgh St Andrews Square, Novotel Glasgow Centre, Mercure Perth Hotel and ibis Edinburgh Centre Royal Mile.

Accor has previously hosted similar recruitment days around the UK, including London and Cardiff.

Sophie Kilic, who heads up talent and culture for Accor hotels in Northern Europe, said: “The Scottish recruitment day is a great opportunity for locals to get a taste of life in hospitality, to hear first-hand why people come to hotels for a night and stay for years as part of the hotel industry family.
